ABOUT

New River Ranch opened in January 1988. A former show horse ranch, the property was donated by Joe and Sandi Lewis. New River Ranch exists to provide residential group care and behavioral health services for dependent, neglected, abused and troubled children and youth. Short and long-term care is provided for children ages 10 to 18 at time of admittance. Counseling, psychological and other needed services are also provided. Occasionally, younger children are accepted in order to keep siblings together, or for foster home placement. Children may remain in care beyond high school when college or vocational training is needed and available.
The ministry of childcare and other benevolences is an expression of the Christian faith and an integral part of the ministry of the Ranch and of the Church. It is the firm belief of the Church of God and New River Ranch that family life offers the best opportunity for meeting the normal developmental, social, and spiritual needs of children.
New River Ranch provides a structured environment that includes mental health services, recreation, tutoring, social development, and spiritual guidance.
